Basic CPR/AED and First Aid Class at the LWYC Club – Sunday, August 23rd – 9am

Did you know that sudden cardiac arrest is the one of the leading causes of death in the United States? Unfortunately, most people who suffer a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital do not get cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from a bystander, which significantly lessens their chances of survival.
CPR is easy to learn, and is taught to tens of thousands of people each year.

Here are five great reasons to get your CPR training now:

  1. CPR saves lives
  2. CPR is not performed enough.
  3. You don’t have to do mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
  4. Hands-only CPR is easy to learn.
  5. Most cardiac arrests occur in the home.

Timothy Knapp, Managing Director of Pike County Emergency, will be teaching an ASHI class (American Safety & Health Institute).
This certification is good for two years, and will include:
Basic first-aid, CPR (Adults, Children & Infants) and AED training.
This class begins at 9am and will last approx. 4 hours.
Certification will be awarded for those who participate.

Cost is $20 per person.
Members are encouraged to bring a family member or friend!
